In Cadiz 2009 European Masters Championships on September 15, 2009 at 11:08 am
The European Championships starts today with 200 medley and 800 free, both for women and men. Unfortenately there is still no schedule of the events available, probably due to the reconfirmation process. That means, that participants have to calculate themselves, when they will have their heat and try to adjust their warmup to that. It’s a kind of a challenge, because nobody actually knows the amount of no shows at 800.
Tactics at 800
In Cadiz 2009 European Masters Championships on September 15, 2009 at 11:03 amAs 800 freestyle is the last event of today and many of the competitors who swim that, will take part also to 200 free, which is the first event of tomorrow – starting at 8.00 – some of the swimmers had figured out how to get more rest between those two starts. By registering with as bad time as possible to 800, of course. That takes you to an earlier heat and in the best case you can get 1-2 hours more rest that way.
